Wenn ihr diesen Song jemals im Radio hören werdet, werdet ihr denken es sind The Fray oder Snow Patrol mit neuem Sänger. Aber The Midway State sind kein simpler Abklatsch von den genannten Bands, ich behauptet jetzt einfach mal, dass sie mit ihrem Debutalbum besser sind. "Never Again", der Opener aus "Holes", hat alles was ein Hit braucht. Die Stimme des Sängers is anders, erkennbar aber niemals nervig, die Instrumente werden perfekt plaziert, vorallem die Gitarre und der Song baut eine ungeheure Spannung auf. Man denkt, es wär nicht der Debütsong, sondern schon die zehnte Singleauskopplung. Nur leider habe ich wieder die leise Ahnung, dass es The Midway State niemals über den Teich schaffen werden.

When you guys listen to that song on the radio, you will think that this is a Snow Patrol or The Fray with a new lead singer. The Midway State is not just a copy of these bands, there are fresh, cool and I claim probably better than Snow Patrol and The Fray. "Never Again", which is the Opener of the current album, has everything to be played on your local radio station. The instruments are awesome, especially the guitar, the lead singer's voice is different, and the tension in the song is just great. So The Midway State is probably a perfect band for TV shows like Grey's Anatomy, Scrubs, and 90210 but they won't the played on national TV or else. What a shame...
